Blackburn sits beside the
M8 in the heart of West Lothian, one of Scotland's fastest-growing
areas.
Regeneration of Blackburn town centre is a key element in the strategy
for economic renewal, and George Dunbar, in partnership with West
Lothian Council, is proud to have been the developer and main contractor
in refurbishing the town's shopping centre.
The project demonstrates the marriage of public and private innovation
and finance working for the good of the local community.Blackburn
shopping centre was part of a 1950s development which included a
shopping centre, a disused hotel, and a number of multistorey flats
in poor condition. Our brief was to provide a modern covered shopping
centre by refurbishing the existing building.
